STEM & Humanities Track

The STEM & Humanities Track has been the bedrock of the UVA Advance program since it began in 2014. Students accepted to the STEM & Humanities Track will enroll in two undergraduate classes from a wide range of disciplines within the College of Arts and Sciences. Upon successful completion of this track, students will have earned six undergraduate credits in courses that fulfill a range of university academic attributes.

Credit-Bearing Classes

UVA Advance: STEM & Humanities Track students enroll in two, three-credit classes. One class, the core class, is reserved only for Advance students but follows curriculum identical to undergraduate sections of the course. The second class, the elective class, is one in which students enroll alongside undergraduates in classes chosen from among the introductory-level courses offered each summer.
