Alana Speth
Assistant Director of Operations
Alana Speth joined the University of Virginia in 2023, transitioning from a career of teaching and administrating at the high school level. In addition to facilitating a range of programs and operations for Summer Session and January Term, Alana serves as the director for the UVA Advance residential precollege program.
Alana holds degrees from The College of William & Mary and Smith College, both in the field of history. An avid reader, she also enjoys gardening, counting down to the next beach vacation, and coming up with new "projects" for her century-old house. Alana and her husband reside in Nelson County with their tuxedo cat, Ellie.
