Visiting High School Students

The University of Virginia's Summer Session offers several options for high school students:

UVA Advance is a residential summer college experience held on Grounds at UVA

Non-Residential Summer Courses are for students who live locally, or who have made arrangements outside of the University for accommodations and supervision, or for students who plan to enroll in an online class. High school students are not eligible for on-Grounds summer session housing unless they are participating in UVA Advance.

Summer Language Institute is for students who live locally or have made arrangements outside of the University for accommodations and supervision and who wish to participate in an intensive summer language program. High school students are not eligible for on-Grounds summer session housing unless they are participating in UVA Advance.

Enrollment in Summer Session does not constitute admission to the University, nor does it allow students to register for the subsequent fall and spring semesters.
