This course presents the fundamentals of biological chemistry for students interested in careers in medicine and the health sciences. The course will cover the chemistry and structure of the basic biomolecules (proteins, carbohydrates, lipids and nucleic acids); enzyme kinetics, mechanisms and regulation; intermediary metabolism and molecular biology.
